I had the day off today. I went with a couple of friends to see the new Bond film, No Time To Die. Off the top I'll say that it wasn't bad, but it wasn't super great either. I think I've just been spoiled by how amazing Casino Royale and Skyfall were. While it's not on Quantum of Solace levels of bad, it is a movie that I'm probably going to forget about in the next couple of days; sort of like Spectre. I remember maybe three things about Spectre. Batista and Monica Belluci were in it. Oh, and Blofield made his first appearance in a Bond film since 1981's For Your Eyes Only. Blofield was the inspiration for both Dr. Claw from the Inspect Gadget series, and Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers franchise. Overall, I enjoyed No Time To Die. I was annoyed by one of the child actors they cast showed zero charisma and could not emote to save her life.
Oh, but how amazing did Lashana Lynch look playing the new 007?? Homina, homina, homina!
Afterward we drove around for a bit and looked for props that my two friends are going to use for a secret project they are going to be working on. Then we had lunch at Boomerjacks where I caught the tail end of the Texas/OU game. I'm not into college football at all, but I guess state pride was on the line. Texas lost in the final minute. Oh, well. They had Blue Moon on tap, and the wings were delicious.
That was pretty much it for the day. I spent the rest of the night watch Pawn Stars watching NYCC videos online. Tomorrow I get back to working on my Animal Crossing island.
