Everyone knows I love a good fancy cooking show. It started with Hell's Kitchen back in the day, then Iron Chef, then Top Chef, then a bunch of weird gimmicky ones, like one where the contestants purposely sabotage each other. And now there is one that's right up my alley, Fast Foodies. Three Top Chef alums, Kristen Kish, Jeremy Ford, and Justin Sutherland, go head to head each week to see who can best recreate and then remix the favorite fast food items of celebrity guests. Along the way there is a lot of hoo-ha. At times the hoo-ha can be over the top, and sometimes just the right amount. The show originally aired on TruTV, but it is currently streaming on HBO Max. It's a lot of fun and I recommend it to everyone. However, if you're not down with a lot of hoo-ha I would just skip it.
I haven't been up to much besides that. I've streamed Animal Crossing New Horizons the last two nights in anticipation for a big Halloween bash that my friends and I are going to probably do. We did one last year where everyone went to OMGxNikkii's island and did our thing. I've been paving roads to give the place that spooky feel, as well as planting pumpkins all over the island, and dressing up the island with spooky stuff and lots of jack-o-lanterns. You'll see the finished product once I'm done with it.
FarCry 6 comes out tomorrow. Still not 100% sure I'm going to purchase it. I haven't played one of those in awhile. I used to get the series confused with Just Cause all the time for some reason. I tried playing Psychonauts 2 the other day. I played the original game when it came out, and I thought I did okay. For some reason I'm having trouble grasping the controls of this sequel. The levitating gimmick annoys the crap out of me, and I kept failing at the one level where you need to employ the gimmick in order to get past the stage. While I didn't rage quit I did stop the game after the umpteenth try and just deleted the game. I'll try again another time.
