As a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan who has seen more downs than ups in his life, I was dreading today's game against the undefeated Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys have been riding a wave lately, and all I kept wondering was how were they going to bone it up this time. However, that didn't happen. The Cowboys actually won again! Holy crap!
Aside from that I spent a great part of the day trying to fix an ancient computer that I want to toss in a dumpster, but my co-worker insists that it can be salvaged. Co-worker tells me that the processor is good, I might just need more RAM. Well, it never really worked well... Co-worker thought maybe I had a virus, or I had a program running that was slowing it down. After a deep scan and a visit to Task Manager, both of those thoughts were out. So, I'm going to try one more thing before I send it to the trash heap.
The Many Saints of Newark released. I haven't had a chance to watch it because I like to watch movies (movies that I intend on giving 100% attention to) in the perfect setting. Lights off, eyes fixed on the TV, and no outside distractions. Also, I need to be in the right frame of mind to sit and focus on a movie. I've been looking forward to this movie for a good while now. I'm anxious to see how James Gandolfini's son does in the same role his father played years ago. Also, Ray Liotta, who I wanted to appear on the original show, finally makes an appearance in the Sopranos universe.
The rest of my Sunday was spent playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, listening to podcasts, and having football on in the background. A very productive Sunday, if I do say so myself.
